Recently we had the pleasure of seeing book designer Chip Kidd speak at CCAD. For those of you who don’t know, he has created some of the most well known book covers of the last 20 years. Through his wit, bold use of language and humor, he candidly spoke about his successes and failures.
For me, the biggest takeaway was that all designers have to deal with the same bullshit feedback from clients and that the doubt and nervous feeling when presenting your work, never really subsides. It felt kind of good knowing that I have something in common with Chip Kidd.
